The neolithic people of Ireland had no written language and have left no oral tradition but their abstract art speaks across 5000 years straight to my heart.
I engage directly with megalithic art through drawing to understand its construction but also the layers of myth that relate to the monuments. This is the archaeology of the soul for me digging in the dark to access a part of something bigger.
My art is often a collaboration with the ancient artists in pencil charcoal ink or wire. I try to break the silence of the lost past by giving voice to the stones and people reinterpreting the stories as science fiction or rituals.
